How we review casinos

This page exists so you can check our work. Every operator goes through the same sequence in the same order, and the order reflects what actually costs players money.

1. Licence, verified on the register

We take the registration number from the operator's footer and confirm it on the regulator's own register. In Ontario that means the AGCO and iGaming Ontario. Offshore, it means the named authority's public licence lookup. A number that does not resolve, or resolves to a different company, ends the review immediately.

2. Withdrawal, timed from approval

We request a cashout and measure two separate things: how long the operator takes to approve it, and how long the rail takes afterwards. Operators routinely blame the bank for what is their own queue.

3. Support under pressure

We ask a deliberately awkward question about a held payment. Response time matters less than whether the answer is specific or a scripted deflection.

4. Bonus terms read in full

We record the wagering multiplier, the maximum bet allowed while wagering, the maximum cashout from bonus funds, game weighting and the expiry window. A 300% match with a 60x multiplier and a CA$5 maximum cashout is worse than no bonus at all, and that only shows up in the terms.

5. Verification, timed

We submit identity documents and time the approval. We note exactly what was requested and whether anything extra appeared later, because a document request that arrives only at cashout is a pattern worth knowing about.

6. A real account, a real deposit

We register as an ordinary player, deposit in CA$ through a method Canadian players actually use, and play normally. No press accounts, no operator-provided balances.

What disqualifies an operator

• A licence number we cannot verify on the regulator's register.
• Verification demands that escalate each time the previous set is satisfied.
• A maximum cashout so low the advertised bonus cannot be realised.
• Terms changed retroactively on a pending withdrawal.
• Support that stops responding once money is requested.

How this site is funded, and what that does not buy

Some links here are commercial. If you open an account through one, the operator may pay us a commission. That is the entire business model and we would rather state it plainly than bury it.

What commission does not buy: a place on the list, a higher position, a softer verdict, or the removal of a criticism. Ranking follows the sequence above. Operators cannot pay to be listed, and several of the sites we have tested are not listed precisely because they failed it. When an operator we recommend later changes behaviour, the entry is rewritten or removed.
